Decorations are handcrafted by Angel members over several months. Then the group decorates the tree.
Attention to Detail This year theme required a lot of attention to detail. Here are hand sewn ornaments.
The sold out Auction Gala was held for Saturday, December 3, 2016. Trees are decorated by provided by local organizations and sold at auction to raise money for Kinderhaven. Area residents were treated to a return of Family Night! This fun family oriented event gave everyone a chance to see the artfully decorated trees at the Fair Grounds. Even Santa visited to see the creative ornaments.

Angels in the Kitchen
The hard work of the Angels paid off big this year. The tree themed, Angels in the Kitchen raised a whopping $10,000 for Kinderhaven kids.
Proceeds from the Festival of Trees benefit Kinderhaven which is dedicated to supporting children in crisis and giving them back their right to thrive by providing a safe, secure home in which their emotional, physical and mental well-being are protected and enriched. Kinderhaven which is located in Sandpoint, Idaho encompasses the following:
  • a group foster home and emergency shelter for children who have been removed from their home for their own protection
  • here for children who come at a moment’s notice….day or night
  • the only facility of its kind in North Idaho a non-profit organization
  • directed by a volunteer Board of Directors
  • making a big difference in ways big and small, in the lives of children whose bodies and hearts have been terribly hurt
  • hope for so many children
Over 1500 children had been served when the organization celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2015.
